Purpose Statement
To support the vision of our church by leading ministries that inspire students in Grades 6–12 to become lifelong disciples of Jesus.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Oversight
- Lead all volunteer involvement in Jr. High and Sr. High ministry, including recruitment, screening, training, scheduling, communication, management, and appreciation.
- Provide weekly communication and scheduling for volunteers, organize quarterly team gatherings, and build a strong volunteer team culture.
- Partner with the Volunteer Administrator to ensure all volunteers complete abuse prevention training, background and reference checks, and receive role-specific training.
Jr. High Ministry (Grades 6–8)
- Develop and lead a weekly program focused on fun, worship, biblical teaching, and relationship building.
- Recruit and support youth leaders who mentor students through small groups.
- Plan and lead two annual retreats (Fall and Spring) and organize one mission trip every two years.
Sr. High Ministry (Grades 9–12)
- Develop and lead a weekly program that includes fun, worship, Scripture teaching, and small group discipleship.
- Recruit and support youth leaders to walk alongside students as mentors and disciple-makers.
- Plan and lead two annual retreats (Fall and Spring) and organize one mission trip every two years.
- Help Sr. High students integrate into the broader life and ministry of the church.
Pastoral Care
- Serve as the first point of contact for youth-related pastoral care and counseling needs.
General Staff Responsibilities
- As a member of the staff team, you serve the entire church community and may be called upon to assist with visitation, prayer, leadership training, or participation in other ministries and events, as directed by your reporting manager.
Team Culture and Alignment
You are expected to be familiar with and actively champion the church’s vision, values, policies, and procedures. A flexible, servant-hearted, and positive attitude is essential as you collaborate with staff, students, and volunteers.
