As an Associate Pastor, you serve the entire church community and may be called upon to lead in a variety of contexts, including pastoral care, counseling, preaching, and teaching.
Groups System Oversight
You are responsible for the development and growth of our church’s groups system. This includes:
- Recruiting, training, equipping, and releasing group leaders.
- Overseeing group curriculum, small group fairs, and group leader celebrations.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all types of groups within the church—small groups, community groups, interest groups, and support groups.
- Actively helping people get connected to groups that foster spiritual growth and community.
Discipleship System Oversight
You are responsible for leading and managing our discipleship pathway, specifically:
- Overseeing follow-up systems for new believers.
- Leading baptism classes and new believer courses.
- Developing and facilitating adult discipleship classes.
General Staff Responsibilities
As a member of the pastoral staff, you serve the entire church and may be asked to assist with visitation, prayer, leadership training, and participation in other ministries and events, as directed by your reporting manager.
Team Culture and Alignment
You are expected to be well-versed in and an active champion of the church’s vision, values, policies, and procedures. A flexible, collaborative, and positive attitude is essential as you work alongside staff and volunteers to fulfill our mission.
